IRAN: Grape Production in Iran’s Jowzan Valley Declared Globally Important Agricultural Heritage.

The announcement is make during a meeting in Rome of the GIAHS Scientific Advisory Group affiliated with the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations.

Around 90% of the grapes produced in Malayer are cultivated in the vineyards of this valley.

IRAN: Fruit exports up 17 percent
A total of 1.13 million tons of various sorts of fruits including dates worth $741 million were exported from Iran in the first half of the Iranian year.
This amounts to a 17% increase compared to the same period last year, reported the Customs Service of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iran exported 974,000 tons of fruits including various types of dates worth 633 million dollars in the first six months of last year.

IRAN: Iran Saffron Exports Top $145m in H1 2018
About 105 tons of saffron worth more than $145 million were exported from Iran during the first half of the current Iranian year, the deputy head of Iran National Saffron Council said.
